this week in Paris

Christof Schoppa March 31, 2019

Running this blog makes a lot fun lately and it's always been so nice to look back on older stuff and memories you've created in the past. That's why we committed ourselves to publish a new post every single week back in time. That didn’t worked out always because from time to time life literally takes over everything else but it feels good and we’ve added consistency more and more. Just writing this down in the morning to remember ourselfs to keep going with what we love the most, creating.

From monday we’ve been 3 days in Paris for an event. Took the times in the mornings and evenings to go out and shoot a little bit in the city.

Shot on Sony α7R II , Leica M and on the phone.

Roadtrip Morocco - Part 2

Christof Schoppa March 24, 2019

... after we left Marrakech, we headed straight for the sea. We spent several days in the area around Agadir and Taghazout, watched the waves and drove down the coast to Sidi Ifni.

Never before have we had so much sea and so much coast to ourselves.

But then we finally made our way to the desert. It was kind of the main reason why we wanted to come here. We finally wanted to see, feel and experience the desert. So often we looked at desert pictures and imagined what it would be like to experience this phenomenon ourselves. It took us 3 days and over 760 km from Sidi Ifni to Zagora. If you don’t drive on the highway in Morocco longer distances can take some time. As a rule of thumb you  can say that it takes approximately one hour driving time for 50 km.

Zagora is about 1 hour away from the first sand dunes and the landscape on the way there is breathtaking. Deep empty valleys interrupted by small villages surrounded by massive mountain ranges.

The desert itself was really an indescribable experience for itself. We were fascinated by the silence and the landscape. The light in the desert seems to have a completely different effect than anywhere else in the world. Especially at sunrise and sunset the magic can literally be felt in the atmosphere and it has stuck deep in our memory. We fell in love so much that this experience was not enough for us and so we drove in the following days with friends we met in Zagora in the direction of Merzouga to get there even more desert feeling.

But we don't want to text too much here and would rather love to show you a few pictures from out there. Morocco was definitely an experience for us.

Synology NAS - the apps we use

Marcus Felix Hofschulz March 21, 2019

We have been working with our Synology for a long time. Our NAS system is an important part of our workflow. In addition our PCs, smartphones and tablets are also connected to Synology. This gives us access to our data at any time, no matter where we are.

It is important that Synology allows permanent access. That' s why our Synology is located at our hoster and service provider Honds IT GmbH in Aachen. Through a fixed IP address and an SSL connection, we have the possibility to securely access our system.

Synology offers the possibility to access our data directly through innovative app's via our mobile devices. This simplifies the workflow significantly.

The app's can be installed via the Apple App Store or Google Play Store. After opening the app, just enter the IP address or the QuickID, username and password.

The apps we use

Of course there are many more apps in the Apple and Google App Stores. Just have a look in your store and check out the apps you want to work with. You can also get entertainment Apps, like DS Video, DS Photo, Synology Moments and DS Audio.

These apps are easy to install and free to use.

We’ve created a series of blog posts for Synology.

Synology NAS - Note Station "The alternative to Evernote and OneNote"

Marcus Felix Hofschulz March 14, 2019

Synology Note Station is a very good alternative to Evernote or OneNote from Microsoft. The benefit is that your data is in your own Synology NAS and not in a cloud with another provider.

This tool is very easy to install and it also offers the possibility to import data from Evernote. Here is the link to the knowledge base.

Installing on the Synology NAS

1. Click on the Package Center (Paketzentrum)
