A trip to Austria with Marcus & Hugo.
Hiking Taubensee between Germany & Austria
Taubensee is a small lake right at the border between Germany (Chiemgau Alps) and Austria (Kitzbühel Alps). It is one of the highest lakes in Germany with 1.138 meters above sea level.
You can hike there from both countries. We started our 2 hour hike on a cloudy rainy day in Kössen which is on the Austrian side and here are some pictures from the hike...
Cologne II
It happens quite sometime that we are in Cologne, because we've lived there in the past and we had to be in town lately quite often due to some family stuff.
So here are some shots from the streets during that time...

Hiking Hochstaufen in Chiemgau Bavaria
A lot of things happend lately so we've decided to head for a night out in the mountains of Bavaria to get the head clear and make some great memories along the way. With a good friend we've started our hiking trip close to Inzell at a hikers parking place in Adlgaß.
Our aim was to reach the top of the Hochstaufen. It is the easternmost mountain of the Chiemgau Alps.
The peak of the mountain is at 1771 m and the altitude of the hike is 950m with a distance of 6.9 km.
It took us more than 4 hours to reach the top and it was totally worth it. The sunset has been incredible just like the sunrise the next morning. To find the way up there is pretty simple tbh, just follow the signs along the way.
Here are some pictures from the sunrise and the hike back down the mountain...
Kehlstein
Last week we've been up at the Kehlsteinhaus in Berchtesgaden known as the Eagle's Nest and roamed around the hills exploring the surroundings. The Kehlsteinhaus sits on a ridge atop the Kehlstein, a 1,834 m peak.
